In February 2012, Victoria spent a morning dancing in the colonnades of the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, in front of Brian Mengini’s camera.

The film shows what the photographs never do: the waiting, the cold, the twenty attempts before the one that gets kept. It is a good way to see what a dance picture costs.

Victoria danced one season with San Francisco Ballet, alongside her years with the Dutch National Ballet.
