Missed Nuance, a dance film

An extract from an art film directed by Niv Novak, in which Victoria dances in a red dress against black.

“Missed Nuance” is a short dance film directed by Niv Novak. No set, no story: a dark ground, a red dress, and the movement alone. What you see here is an extract; the film exists in full elsewhere.

It is the clearest demonstration on this site of what a classical training makes possible outside the classical repertoire. The line, the carriage of the back, the way a foot finds the floor: none of it was learned for a film, and all of it is there.

A video shows the result. An hour in the studio shows the work, and the trial is without commitment.
